Snowy Bear - More Success at AfPP 2009

Once again donations for our snowy bears at the recent AfPP congress and exhibition at Harrogate exceeded the previous year’s total, as visitors to our stand know we ask for a donation when someone adopts one of our Snowy Bears. Visitors who made a donation will be pleased to learn that this year we made a total of £326.79 for Derian House Children’s Hospice in Chorley. 

Derian house has now been open for 15 years and needs to raise £1.85 million per year to continue its care. Derian House is open for 365 days but receives statutory funding for only 35 days. This means that they are almost totally reliant on voluntary funding and why your contributions are so important to them, it does make a difference.
