ISO 9001:2008 - UKAS Accreditation

Medical Physics International recently underwent an audit by SGS Yarsley and subsequently received full accreditation for our Multi Vendor biomedical engineering service. The audit and certification was carried out according to ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System Certification and covers Project Management, Procurement, Commissioning and Maintenance of Medical Equipment.

The audit team from SGS Yarsley carried out a process based audit, focusing on significant aspects / risks / objectives required by the standard(s).The audit methods used consisted of interviews, observation of activities and review of documentation and records.

The success in gaining this accreditation owes much to the work undertaken by of all MPI’s engineering and administration staff but in particular the efforts of Mr Julian Campbell – MPI Quality Manager and Paul Perkins – Engineering Supervisor Swindon.
